Removal of the Indians
This is the full report from the Committee on Indian Affairs to the 21st Congress, 1st Session in the House of Representatives on the state of Indian issues in the Nation from February 24, 1830. The report is accompanied by Bill No. 287 which will become the Indian Removal Bill “to provide for the removal of the Indian Tribes within any of the States and Territories, and for their permanent settlement West of the river Mississippi.” Ohio History Connection Image TAH1890.
